I am John L Holmes, guitarist, composer, engineer and producer of albums by Myth America, Non Stop and Inflight.
Tell me about your history? How did you get where you are now?
I started playing guitar at 9 years of age. From 12 years on I have played semi-professionally in many diverse groups until today.
Have you performed live in front of an audience? Any special memories?
I have performed in front of audiences since I was 12.
Your musical influences
Andres Segovia, McGlaughlin, Clapton, Hendrix, Coltrane, Ornette, Chick Corea, Davis, Stanley Clark, to mention a few.
What equipment do you use?
Gibson 339, Henriksen Bud for live gigs. Logic with Scarlett 18i20 for recording.
Anything else?
I think that I am extremely fortunate to have the talented friends who have contributed to the recordings and performances on this site.
